ST. JOHN DE BRITTO REGION (SJBR) (Estd in 2004)
St. John De Britto Region was established in the year 2004 bifurcating St. Thomas Province (STP) of the Congregation. This new region is named
after the great martyr of Tamilnadu. The activities of the region are centred
mainly in the state of Tamilnadu. The region was formally inaugurated on
21st April 2004 by Rt. Rev. Dr. Leon Dharmraj, Bishop of Kottar at
Thomayarpuram Mission, Thadikkarankonam. Bro. S. Victor General was
appointed as the first Regional Superior for a term of 3 years. At present there are 23 Brothers and 08 communities.
