Answering the call of Jesus to “love one another,” the Brothers share their time, talents, and treasures serving those in need. Justice, equality, peace and personal dignity– these lie at the heart of the ministries of CMSF who work in solidarity with the poor and marginalized who yearn for new life and hope. Recognizing that women suffer disproportionately from hunger and poverty; Franciscan Missionary Brothers focus on working with women because; women have always been marginalized and oppressed in the Indian society. We believe women are the foundation of the family and community, and if a woman is empowered, eventually the entire family and community are empowered. Through our women-empowerment programs such as skill training, awareness programs and income generating activities, Franciscan Missionary Brothers are trying to make women empowered to create a permanent social change.
